Our mission is to create a more inclusive environment and an overall safe space for undocumented students through education and advocacy. In order to obtain this desired environment we plan to help students expand their intellectual, creative and social horizons while empowering a sense of belonging. We will strive to foster an understanding in the UVa and Greater Charlottesville community about t

he unique issues and challenges undocumented students undergo. We also plan to provide faculty and staff with tools and information to help in their interactions with undocumented students. We are committed to have strong ties with administrations, most importantly Student Financial Services, in order to provide students with the necessary resources to make their experience a successful one. We are also committed to have strong ties with DMV DREAMers, a coalition of university organizations, with similar purposes. Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization, which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization’s contracts, acts or omissions.

This scholarship supports undocumented, DACA, TPS, PR, and mixed-status students at UVA and in the greater Charlottesville area. Our goal is to reduce financial barriers and provide meaningful support for students navigating higher education without access to traditional aid.

UndocUVA is a student-led organization that supports undocumented, liminally documented, and students of all statuses at UVA and throughout the Charlottesville community. Through trainings, fundraisers, and scholarships, we work to be a source of strength and support for those who need it most.
