Ladies of Alpha Kappa,

In response to the two recently filed Bills in the Virginia House, Alpha Kappa Order stands with the Virginia Military Institute and recognizes the past, present, and future value of the VMI education.

If you feel convicted about standing for our alma mater, please take the opportunity to comment on:

House Bill 1377: Concerning review of VMI's continued state funding.
House Bill 1374: Concerning dissolution of VMI's Board of Visitors.
Additionally, please consider contacting your District Representative if you are a Virginia resident.

Alpha Kappa is excited to welcome Kathleen Jabs to our Professional Development Seminars! Kathleen serves as Special Assistant to the President for Military & Veteran Affairs at William & Mary. From 2019 to 2022, Kathleen served as Acting Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs for the Commonwealth of Virginia where she worked to coordinate state and federal resources to support Virginia’s military and veteran communities and liaison with federal defense facilities.
