Business & Accounting Pathway students in Strategies for Success are ROCKING Week 6!

This week, students welcomed a guest speaker who helped them take what they’ve learned through their values and career assessments and begin applying it to their academic and career planning.

The session started with an important reminder: there are multiple ways to get to the same destination. Career and educational paths are rarely straight, and there is more than one way to reach a goal.

Students explored how their values, interests, experiences, and goals can help guide the choices they make along the way. Week by week, they’re learning more about themselves, exploring possibilities, and building a plan that will lead to a student presentation on what comes next.

We love watching our students grow, explore, and discover where their path might take them!

⚾️Business education looks pretty good from Coors Field!⚾️

LCCC students took learning beyond the classroom today at the Colorado Rockies’ Business of Baseball career event!

Students had the opportunity to hear directly from Rockies front office executives about the many careers that make professional sports possible. The conversation covered career paths, internships, networking, learning from failure, finding your voice, doing your best work, taking advantage of opportunities along the way and so much more! Then, we got to finish the experience with some Rockies baseball! ⚾️

Experiences like this give students the chance to explore careers, connect what they are learning in the classroom to the real world and discover possibilities they may not have considered before.

A great day of learning, connecting and making memories with our LCCC students!
