Did you know the Canadian Brass Tuba Mouthpiece Collection pairs the designs of Robert Tucci’s famous models (RT-50, RT-64, RT-83, and RT-88) with a rim contour and exterior profile based on the Arnold Jacobs model?

Here’s how the hybrid design works across the line:

🔸 MB-50 (based on RT-50): Deep pear-shaped cup delivering a massive sound with razor-sharp tonal clarity. Best used with BBb and CC tubas.

🔸 MB-64 (RT-64 cup): Medium-deep bowl shape built for lyrical expression on F and Eb tubas.

🔸 MB-83 (RT-83 cup): Moderate pear shaped cup offering incredible focus, low resistance, and upper-register projection that works well with BBb and CC tubas.

🔸 MB-88 (RT-88 cup): Wide, deep bowl for maximum power and a robust low-register foundation. Great for players with larger lips that have struggled on other mouthpieces. Definitely designed for BBb and CC tubas!

This is the Liberation Mr. P Signature tuba mouthpiece…but most of the time we just refer to it as “Mr. P Signature”.

Liberation is our own in-house brand and Mr. P Signature is the model name for our full line of tuba mouthpieces designed by our partner, the great Daniel Perantoni.

“Liberation Mr. P Signature Tuba Mouthpiece” is a long product title! We probably should have thought of that🤷🏾‍♂️

Call them whatever you want, just give them a try, you’ll like them!

The right mouthpiece makes a huge difference!

After trying several mouthpieces with this Meinl Weston by Getzen 4/4 CC, the Robert Tucci RT-88 comes in 1st place 🥇

It doesn’t mean that the RT-88 is the “best” tuba mouthpiece, or it’s the only option for this horn.

It just means it’s the best combination so far of tuba and mouthpiece for ME.

Let us help you find the best combination for you!
