Pianos for Play

Pianos for Play Pianos For Play is student group at UMD with the goal of bringing music and art into students' everyday experiences on campus!

Pianos For Play is a student-run community engagement project that enables University of Maryland students to showcase their artistic and musical talents. During the month of April, five pianos will be placed at various high-traffic locations around campus. Five student artists will paint the pianos and transform them into stunning works of visual art in addition to a functional musical instrument

. Once the pianos are set in their locations, students will be encouraged to play them at leisure. The pianos welcome both talented musicians as well as students just looking to play with a new instrument. Pianos For Play will build a stronger campus community as artists and musicians find others with shared passions and students connect with each other through art.

Weather report shows it is most likely going to rain today :-(

Please help us keep the pianos safe! Please help keep the tarps on. If you see the tarp off a piano, put it back on. If you see the tarp on the piano already, please don't take it off.

Waiting for sunnier days. Happy Friday :-)
