Anthony is a member of the Ross Volunteer Company as well as a member of the Aggie Band. Outside of the corps, he enjoys reading, writing, and lifting!

When asked for advice for underclassmen, Anthony shared:
“Don’t beat yourself up for not being perfect. Great leaders aren’t the best at everything, they bring the best out of everyone.”

Recently, the Corps had Cadet Challenge, a competition to see what outfit is most fit on the Quad. It consists of Bloody Cross, Squad Competition, and O-Course. Throughout the day, outfits compete in physically demanding and team-based events that test endurance, strength, and coordination. From carrying logs and pushing through obstacles to relying on your buddies to finish each event, every challenge requires teamwork and determination. It’s a chance for outfits to represent their unit, push themselves physically and mentally, and build stronger bonds with the people they train alongside. All of the outfits from Artillery Band exemplified this as they competed, and ended up doing an outstanding job!

Howdy Artillery Band! This week, we’re excited to spotlight fish Sanchez from C-Battery! She is a Public Health major from La Feria, Texas. Outside of the Corps life, she is currently involved in Aggie Valor, as well as Project Yellow.

Some of fish Sanchez’s favorite hobbies are reading, playing board games, watching movies, and going on walks! One of her favorite Corps memory so far has been after her and her buddies earning their brass and being able to come together and appreciate how far they’ve made it as well as the connection they have made with each other.

We’re so proud of you, fish Sanchez, and can’t wait to see everything you’ll achieve in the Corps and beyond!

With BQ Ball right around the corner, Artillery Band turned our usual training time into a dance floor with a little country flair!🤠✨ We brought in some amazing alumni who broke down the 2-step, spins, twirls, and dips like pros, helping us polish our moves and build confidence. It’s not every day you get to see unexpectedly smooth dance skills from people you’d never guess, but everyone definitely showed out!

Brass is a three-week training phase for fish, focused on strengthening, discipline, physical readiness, and teamwork. During this period, fish refine the fundamentals of the Corps through daily workouts, drills, and outfit challenges that prepare them for what comes next... Culmination: the final and most demanding test for fish during Brass month. This intense workout assesses everything they’ve learned throughout their training — from physical conditioning to discipline, communication, and teamwork under pressure. Completing Culmination marks the moment when fish earn their brass, symbolizing their transition from new cadets to fully recognized members of the Corps. It’s a milestone that represents resilience, growth, and their commitment to the traditions and standards of Texas A&M.
