If you ask the curator to tell you her favorite painting in the Tennessee Watercolor Society exhibit, she’ll probably tell you five different ones - but one of them is always Sandra Carpenter’s Special Occasion. Those colors 😍

Our curator (Tori) won’t hesitate to tell you that she has the most fun job on campus. One of many reasons? Getting to know the pieces in Columbia State Comm College ‘s permanent collection, and when she’s lucky, the artists who made them as well! Tori visited the studio of Spring Hill-based artist Aletha Carr yesterday. What a treat! Swipe to see the paintings we have in the permanent collection (and keep swiping if you want a peak at Tori’s camera roll from her visit!)

Our curator wants you to know that the Tennessee Watercolor Society show is BEAUTIFUL but also hard to photograph because of the glare from our windows! Don’t wait for her to figure it out - just come see the show for yourself! Open through October 27 😊
