Wright State University is helping preserve the legacy of the Wright brothers for future generations.

Through a $4,999 federally funded conservation grant, four artifacts from Wright State’s Wright Brothers Collection received specialized treatment to help protect their historical significance. The collection is the largest archival collection of Wright family material in the world and includes Orville Wright’s botany sketchbook, the 1903 diary of the Wright brothers’ father, Bishop Milton Wright, and other historically significant items.

The work helps ensure these materials remain a resource for students, scholars and the public to explore the Wright brothers’ legacy and their roots in Ohio.
