Goodnight Show

In the great Greenroom
There was an icky couch
And a dressing room
And a flyer for
-Godot the Sequel, coming soon
And there were three with blue hairs, sitting on chairs
And two little cupcakes
And a pair of smoke breaks
And an emptying house
And a proud spouse
And a comb and a brush and a gawdy pink blush
And a stern old usher who was whispering “hush”
Goodnight glow
Goodnight show
Goodnight ovation after the show
Goodnight lights
And the dressing room
Goodnight stairs
Goodnight chairs
Goodnight cupcakes
And goodnight smoke breaks
Goodnight clocks
And good luck socks
Goodnight little house
And goodnight spouse
Goodnight comb
And goodnight brush
Goodnight nobody
Goodnight blush
And goodnight to the stern usher whispering “hush”
Goodnight stars
Goodnight flair
Goodnight houses everywhere

This is a good show that looks deeply into the relationship between youthful passion and the difficult decisions of maturity. Fate and Chance. And some funny stuff too. ;)

Come out this afternoon and enjoy our production of Antigone by Jean Anouilh. The story, based on a Greek play, has been modernized and is now set in the 1940s. The show runs 80 minutes with no intermission. Seating is limited, so come on out this afternoon and enjoy some old-fashioned family fighting. Really old fashioned. Shilling Auditorium at Richland Community College. Show starts at 3pm. Tickets are $10 for Regular admission and $7 for students, seniors and alumni.

It is with a heavy heart we bid farewell to one of Richland Theatre's founding fathers, Joe Straka. To celebrate his contribution to Richland Theatre we have renamed the Joe and Sam Straka Theatre Scholarship, started after the passing of his wife, Sam.

To honor Joe, our 2017-18 season, "Laugh" will feature the comedies Dearly Departed and Picasso at the Lapine Agile, both shows Joe directed in Decatur. We hope you will join us this season and next to support the arts, honor Joe, and laugh.

Apel shines in Richland's 'Antigone'

The review is out! Come and enjoy a little taste of 2500 Greece as Antigone fights with her Uncle Creon and her sister, Ismene to bury her brother in spite of the hovering death sentence and her love for Haimon, Creon's son, hanging in the balance.

DECATUR – Scene descriptions, when present in a theater program, tend to be limited to times, places and other important details not readily apparent as the show unfolds on stage.

In Greek Tragedy, it isn't a question of IF people will die, it's how MANY. No one is safe. Are you #TeamCreon or #TeamAntigone?
