Christian Students at UNT Colossians 3:4 CHRIST our life!! UNT Christian Students is a registered student organization at the University for all students, faculty, and staff.

We are a group of believers from diverse backgrounds who desire to pursue the Lord Jesus with others at the University of North Texas. We hold the Christian faith that is common to all believers. We warmly welcome you to join us this semester for fellowship and Bible Study.

We are not meant to excessively worry or live in anxiety yet there is a liar that comes to steal kill and destroy our peace.

However, Philippians 4:6-7 says how we can overcome this.

“In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

And the peace of God, which surpasses every man’s understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.”

The source of peace and the One who is peace Himself is God. When we contact Him, He bears our fears and gives us more of Himself. We may not be in control of the world around us but we can joined to Christ Jesus who is above all.

What is God doing right now?

God is moving and active. According to Ephesians 3:17, it says that Christ may make His home in your hearts.

I realized in my walk with the Lord, He does not want to be a guest. He wants my heart, He wants my heart to be His home. He doesn’t want to just stay at the front door or the living room, but He wants access to this room and that room
within me.

I realized it’s up to me for the Lord to make his home in my heart. It’s up to you to allow the Lord to make his home in your heart.

What does it mean to be born anew?

In the Bible, in John 3, we see the story of this man named Nicodemus. He was a religious leader, a ruler of the Pharisees, someone very knowledgeable of the Scriptures, and even to some, a good person.

But in the Bible, John 3, the Lord says, Do not marvel that I said to you, you must be born anew. To be born a new is to receive another life, in addition to your human life, to receive the life of God into your spirit.

It’s not a matter of being a good person, being knowledgeable of the Scriptures, but of receiving the life of God.

What makes man different than every other living creature on earth?

Job 32:8 says there is a spirit in man. This spirit that’s in man deeper than man’s soul.

John 4:24 says God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truthfulness.

Thank the Lord, we have a human spirit.
