Rather than dismissing these claims, we will trace their political, religious, and cultural origins, revealing the historical events, social anxieties, and misunderstandings that gave them life. By separating history from speculation, this lecture will offer a deeper understanding of how myths and misconceptions are created, why they persist, and how Freemasonry has been portrayed throughout history.
