Synopsis - The most difficult structure a human being will ever build is the one within. At the heart of Freemasonry lies the conviction that the progress of Humanity depends upon this inner labor—the conscious development of individuals through self-knowledge, self-mastery, and service. Drawing upon the symbolism of the unfinished stone, the search for Light, and the building of the Temple, this presentation will explore the psychological dimensions of the Masonic Work through Jungian concepts such as the unconscious, the shadow, individuation, and the Self. It ultimately considers how the transformation of the individual contributes to the building of a wiser and more enlightened Humanity.
