Yesterday was a day for the record books for the DSU Heritage Foundation. We hosted our Third Annual DSU Alumni & Friends Golf Scramble in Bismarck where we officially had 30 teams with 122 players. Not too shabby for a Tuesday. A special thank you to the teams and sponsors for a great day at Riverwood Golf Course.

Thanks to all the alumni & friends who came out for BLUE HAWK NIGHT AT THE BIG STICKS! The weather was perfect for baseball. We had lots of Blue Hawk fans in the stands so that was great to see. We even had former Blue Hawk standout and current Philadelphia Eagles #46 - Jay Liggins at the game. He's building quite a fan base of all ages.

Thanks to the Badlands Big Sticks for making this night possible! The Big Sticks are a great asset to our community as they are currently 19-5 and have won 7 games in a row. Take the family out to enjoy a night of baseball.

A special THANK YOU to the DSU Cheer & Dance Team for assisting with the 50/50.

The first ever "Blue Hawk Night at the Big Sticks" was a blast! Thanks to all the alumni and friends who came to show their support of the Big Sticks as well as the Blue Hawks. We were reminded how baseball is a great family sport to be enjoyed by all ages. Congratulations to the Badlands Big Sticks for extending their win-streak to seven wins and a 19-5 record! IMPRESSIVE!!

A special shout out to the DSU Cheer & Dance Team for their assistance with the 50/50. They made one man very happy by winning $350 in the drawing.

We were also fortunate to have Philadelphia Eagles #46 - Jay Liggins on hand last night. He already has fans of all ages!

Enjoy the sunshine today and tonight out at the Stark County Fairgrounds for the Blue Hawk Stampede. Watch some of the Great Plains Region's top cowboys and cowgirls compete for a spot to head to the CNFR in June.

General information

The Alumni Association was established in 1920 to further the spirit of unity between the successive classes, to nurture the common love for their alma mater and to aid in the development and growth of Dickinson State. Today, the Alumni Association boasts 11,000-plus members with the common goal of “friend”raising. At Dickinson State University we believe in the motto "Once a Hawk. Always a Hawk." As a DSU family member, you are the backbone of our institution. Because of your involvement, we can continue our rich traditions and exceed expectations in higher education. The Alumni Association is governed by a broad spectrum of members from across the region. The Alumni Association Board meets on a quarterly basis to conduct the business of the association and to hear an update on Dickinson State University. The Dickinson State University Foundation, Inc. was organized in 1952 as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the State of North Dakota. All donations to the foundation are tax-exempt for federal income, gift, and estate tax purposes with certain limitations as described by the Code. The Foundation was established to provide an avenue through which alumni and friends of the University may contribute financially to the University. Gifts, grants, and bequests to the Foundation benefit present and future students by providing scholarship assistance and the funding of special projects not available through funding sources. The Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors comprised of leading citizens, both alumni and friends of the University. This board provides direction for the three major functions necessary to carry out the mission of the Foundation: 1) promote giving, 2) management and investment of funds, and 3) allocation of funds.
