Hey everyone!

We wanted to invite you to Medical Engineering Interest Group's annual event: Design Night! Every year, bioengineering senior design teams from across the triangle come to Duke to pitch their ideas to medical students and engineers. These teams are looking for clinical and technical insight that can help launch their ideas to the next level. In the past, some of these projects have gone on to get national attention (check out "Undercover Colors": http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/aug/25/nc-state-students-develop-nail-polish-to-detect-da/). Join us for this very special event! RSVP by February 26th at http://goo.gl/forms/698Z4nvGsu to reserve your spot.

Date/Time: Wed March 2nd from 6-8 pm
Location: Learning Hall, TSCHE (Duke University School of Medicine)
Food and drinks will be provided!

Four male students at North Carolina State University have developed a prototype for a new nail polish line that changes color when it comes into contact with date r**e drugs.

Hello All,

My name is Taylor Illman, and I will be serving as your Graduate Student President for another semester. In an effort to boost MEIG meeting attendance and general awareness, I am our page.

Feel free to post interesting and current technological advances in medicine, pictures of your research, speaker topics/suggestions, etc.

Above all, it is important to remember that this group is ultimately meant to bring Duke Engineering and School of Medicine students together. The different perspectives and skill sets of these professions drive innovation in healthcare today.
