Four Norfolk State University students have been selected to the BET Next Gen Class of 2026, a competitive talent development initiative that prepares the next generation of media and entertainment professionals through mentorship, hands-on industry experience and career-focused leadership training. Selected from thousands of applicants, Malik Davis ('26) will participate in the Communications & PR track, Shemaiah Dyer ('28) in the Social & Digital track, Jasmine Collymore ('27) in the Ad Sales & Brand Solutions track, and Zayre Floyd ('28) in the Brand Creative track. The program provides participants with opportunities to learn from industry leaders, contribute to major BET productions and events, including this weekend's BET Awards in Los Angeles, and gain real-world experience across multiple areas of the media ecosystem.
