Six years ago, Sandy Carter ( ) crossed the graduation stage at Mid-Atlantic Christian University. This spring, she stood proudly in the crowd cheering for her husband, Phillip Carter ( ), as he received his Associate’s degree in Biblical Studies from the very same university. 💚🧡

Moments like this are part of what makes Commencement so meaningful. Behind every diploma is a story — of encouragement, perseverance, sacrifice, faith, and the people who walked beside students along the way.

Now officially a MACU alumni couple, Phillip and Sandy represent something special within our campus community. Phillip’s journey as a non-traditional student is a reminder that pursuing God’s calling and continuing your education is possible in every season of life.

At MACU, students come from many different backgrounds and stages of life, but each brings experiences and perspectives that help strengthen our university community in unique ways.

Congratulations to Phillip and Sandy Carter on this incredible milestone together! 🐎

Now that the school year has officially come to a close, we’re excited to introduce the 2026–2027 MACU Student Life Team. 💚🧡

This incredible group of student leaders and residence life staff will help shape daily life on campus next year through leadership, encouragement, accountability, friendship, and service inside our residence halls.

Being part of Student Life at MACU is much more than a title. These students step into moments big and small throughout the year by helping new students adjust, praying with classmates, planning activities, building community, and walking alongside students academically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially.

It is a big responsibility, and we are thankful for each person willing to serve in this way.

Please join us in praying for this team as they prepare for the upcoming school year and for the students they will impact through their leadership and care.

Mid-Atlantic Christian University is proud to welcome back alumnus Nick Vipperman (‘98) this fall as the featured speaker at our Homecoming Rally on Friday, October 2nd.

Pastor Nick currently serves as Senior Pastor of Galilee Christian Church in Jefferson, Georgia, and has spent more than 30 years faithfully serving in ministry. From youth ministry to senior leadership, his work has been marked by a heart for discipleship, biblical teaching, and helping others grow deeper in their faith.

Known for his engaging preaching style and thoughtful writing, Nick continues to impact lives both inside and outside the church through ministry, mentoring, and community involvement. His life reflects the kind of servant leadership we hope to cultivate in every MACU student.

Seeing alumni continue to faithfully serve, lead, and invest in others is one of the greatest joys of the MACU community. We are grateful for graduates like Nick who continue to live out their calling and represent Christ so well.
