I have been selected to represent Howard County in the 2011 Mrs. The pageant has a history of selecting married women who possess a desire to help others as well as someone who is active in her community. I have chosen to mentor less fortunate young women in Howard County so that they will be prepared to enter the business world or even college after graduating from high school. The name of my pla
tform is called Undiscovered Belle, a non-profit organization that provides less fortunate women of Howard County with suits for interviews and formalwear for special events. I have been employed by State Farm Insurance since 2005 and I am currently a student at the University of Alabama in the Culverhouse School of Business. I am completing my degree in general business so that one day I will be able to open my own formalwear retail boutique in Ellicott City, MD. My husband, David, was a first time candidate this year for the Howard County Board of Education. The state pageant will be held on February 19th 2011 at Anne Arundel Community College in Annapolis, Maryland. Currently there are several wonderful women who will be competing for the state title. The winner of the state title will proceed to the national pageant, Mrs. America 2011 (http://www.mrsamerica.com). Please contact me if you would like to attend the state pageant. Tickets are $20.00 each. There are many expenses involved with the competition. Travel, formal gowns, interview suits and portraits are required for competition. I am asking for your donation so that I may successfully represent Howard County. After the competition I will be donating my clothing to young women in Howard County who need this attire for an interview or a special event. The program book will be viewed by all of the contestants, their families and attendees of the pageant. You may donate up to $500.00 that can be written off as a promotional business expense.
