LCCC Los Unidos 5k Run for Leadership and Health

A goal of this race is to inspire young minds to complete their educational goals and become the future leaders of our community. LCCC Los Unidos will hosting its third 5K Run for Leadership and Health at our new College Center Commons in 2013. Our organization provides services to the college campus and the community as a whole through educational, cultural, charitable donations and social progra

ms. We have been responsible for coordinating a human trafficking awareness symposium, collaborating with ECHHO to promote leadership by exposing high school seniors to the college experience, and working together with Student Life to provide food to the homeless. Our prior races have elevated local awareness of breast cancer and raised money to provide assistance for the ancillary expenses that breast cancer victims encounter. A goal of this race is to raise funds to provide programming that will inspire young minds to complete their educational goals and become the future leaders of our community. All charitable proceeds from the 1-mile Network Walk will go to support local breast cancer awareness, all 5K registration fees will benefit the Los Unidos Student Organization programming, and all Hunger Games Bare-foot Challenge proceeds will go to a local Food Bank.
