Congratulations to Rich Vallaster, MBA'03, who has been named a 2026 recipient of the Bob Dallmeyer Educator of the Year Award from the International Association of Exhibitions & Events - IAEE ! The award recognizes creativity, clear communication and innovative teaching that inspires lifelong learning.

As senior director of industry relations and thought leadership at Momentive Software, Rich has spent his career helping associations and event organizers make smarter decisions about how they grow, engage and deliver value.

The Mount community continues to honor the legacy of the late Dr. Robert Ducharme, whose more than 40 years of teaching helped shape generations of students and the University’s understanding of the liberal arts. Pictured are faculty members, past and present, who gathered at Dr. Ducharme’s memorial service earlier this month.

We invite the community to attend the Ducharme Lecture on today at 4 p.m. in Knott Auditorium. Sr. Clare Hunter, FSE, will present Naked and Unafraid: The Real Francis of Assisi, an exploration of the enduring witness and legacy of St. Francis.

Alumni Spotlight | Vincent Chesney, C’97 🎓

This past summer, Vincent Chesney, MS, FAAIDD, C’97, served as the 150th President of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD), planning and leading its historic 150th Annual Meeting. He shared that his inspiration for the program was “…grounded [in the] philosophy learned at the Mount, with Echoes of our student newspaper's motto 'To Serve the Truth' as well as the Mount's focus on servant leadership and hope.”
