Happy International Picnic Day! 🧺🌳

For generations, Wilson Picnic Grove has been a place where the Penn State Behrend community gathers, celebrates, and makes memories. While the pavilion remained much the same for decades, recent updates helped make the space more accessible, comfortable, and welcoming for everyone who visits.

The improvements included updated facilities, better lighting, a new roof, improved walkways, and new picnic tables. These enhancements reflect Penn State Behrend’s ongoing commitment to investing in campus spaces and ensuring they continue to serve students, alumni, faculty, staff, and visitors for years to come.

Today, we celebrate Wilson Picnic Grove and the role it plays in bringing our community together. 💙

🏀 💙🏀 There’s something special about coming home!

We recently welcomed Behrend Basketball alumni from 1976–1986 back to campus, traveling from across the country to reconnect, share stories, and relive the moments that shaped them.

The day was filled with laughter, a few happy tears, and a full-circle moment as current Behrend Basketball student-athletes led them on a campus tour—proving that while generations may change, the Behrend spirit doesn’t.

Together, they also honored the life and legacy of Ms. Sandra Edwards, whose guidance and belief in Penn State students left a lasting impact that continues to be felt decades later.

Thank you to our partners in Athletics for helping bring this special day to life—and to our alumni for reminding us what makes Behrend so meaningful.
