Deputy Osborne is assigned to the USI campus. We wish him the best of luck in the club championship and congratulate him on a great city tournament.

Meet Logan Osborne! The odds-on favorite to take home this year’s Club Championship. Logan is one of the most accomplished golfers in the field, but you’d never know it from his humble approach.

His game is in serious form, coming off an impressive 4th-place finish in the Evansville City Tournament just yesterday! 🔥

And lucky for Logan—and the rest of the field—his wife, Kayla, won’t be competing in the Club Championship! 😂🏆

A big thank you to Perry Twp Fire Department for bringing trucks and talking to the new USI housing RAs about fire safety, Jerry Bulger with Perry for the cooking and fire extinguisher training and the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office for talking about drug issues that they are seeing around Evansville and what to look for around campus housing.

When you see Public Safety officers going about their day, it is easy to forget the massive amount of preparation that goes on behind the scenes to keep everyone safe. Over the last two months, public safety staff have been wrapping up their annual inservice training—a concentrated two-week summer push dedicated to sharpening emergency medical services (EMS) skills, brushing up on tactical responses, and hosting other university departments to build stronger, everyday connections across campus.
Even though officers train and practice year-round, these intensive summer sessions offer a crucial window to step back from daily patrols and focus heavily on high-stakes medical interventions and interdepartmental coordination.
