"Today, 9-11, marks the 39th anniversary of the CIA backed coup of Salvador Allende, the democratically elected president of Chile. The brutal coup was organized by the U.S. government and the Chilean military. With the support of the U.S. government, Augusto Pinochet took and maintained power for 17 years. His rein was marked by some of the worst human rights violations in the history of Latin America. Pinochet’s dictatorship, again with U.S. support, massacred over 3,000, tortured over 29,000, detained over 250,000 in concentration like prisons, and forced over 200,000 into exile, to say nothing of the decreased wages, and the rise of economic inequality. Let us not forget this important day in history, the first 9-11, September 11, 1973." (via Anderson M)

Mayor Rahm Emmanuel has committed the city of Chicago to spending upwards of $25 MILLION to increase police patrols and otherwise break the CTU. Who really cares about our children? SUPPORT THE CTU IN THEIR STRIKE FOR BETTER EDUCATION!!

The Chicago Teacher's Union (CTU) is on strike for several million dollars in school improvements, air conditioning for students, and more teachers and staff. Mayor Rahm Emmanuel and his lackeys at Chicago Public Schools want to close these schools and give them away to private charter schools. Who is really looking out for our children? Support the CTU! The fate of education in America is at stake.

Obama the Warrior

'Last week, the journal Foreign Policy published an extraordinary article – not extraordinary because of what it says, but because of who said it. It was written by Aaron David Miller, a lifelong D.C. foreign policy bureaucrat who served as a Middle East adviser to six different Secetaries of State in Democratic and GOP administrations. Miller’s article ... was entitled “Barack O’Romney,” and the sub-headline said it all: “Ignore what the candidates say they’ll do differently on foreign policy. They’re basically the same man.”'

“Near the end, the white shirt came in and said, ‘Sorry boys, you all were collateral damage.’ Those were his exact words.” Ben reported being told the same.

“In my view it’s not that there were terrorists next door,” Olli said. “It’s that the cops were terrorizing us.”

Missouri Anarchists Beaten in Jail, Call for Solidarity | Anarchist news dot org

"Upon their release, we learned that while being interrogated one prisoner had a knife held to their throat, that they were choked and lifted off the ground and punched in the chest for non-compliance. One comrade, who is facing the most serious charges, was brought to the interrogation room where a detective repeatedly struck him in the face, breaking his nose while he was shackled to the floor."

We Socialists and Anarchists disagree on matters of analysis and political practice, but we as radical leftists have common cause in the overthrow of the capitalist regime and the resistance against police oppression. What wounds one militant leftist must wound all, because we show a united front against the system which needs replacing. The police are despicable, disgusting slave masters and servants to the exploiter ruling class. This incident is especially disgusting and vile, and it is A CALL TO ACTION:

The ruling class and the enforcers of their property interests must be resisted at all costs. It is your obligation as a progressive to become involved in whatever capacity you are able in the struggle for the liberation and emancipation of the working classes of the planet. As per the Anarchist slogan: "Agitate, Educate, Organize."

On May 24th 30-40 people answered the call for a Chicago solidarity demo through the downtown St. Louis bar district.

The Principles of Communism

In the future socialist society, "Instead of generating misery, overproduction will reach beyond the elementary requirements of society to assure the satisfaction of the needs of all; it will create new needs and, at the same time, the means of satisfying them. It will become the condition of, and the stimulus to, new progress, which will no longer throw the whole social order into confusion, as progress has always done in the past. Big industry, freed from the pressure of private property, will undergo such an expansion that what we now see will seem as petty in comparison as manufacture seems when put beside the big industry of our own day. This development of industry will make available to society a sufficient mass of products to satisfy the needs of everyone."

What is Single Payer? | Physicians for a National Health Program

"Single-payer is a term used to describe a type of financing system. It refers to one entity acting as administrator, or “payer.” In the case of health care, a single-payer system would be setup such that one entity—a government run organization—would collect all health care fees, and pay out all health care costs."

It's like there was a game of dodgeball, and the American public were all out after a decade long struggle between them and big industry, and the game can either go into overtime and more players from the public team will be back in the game to try and win, or the game can go into a sudden death between industry and the public.

President Obama, as the duly elected public team captain, looked the rest of his team dead in the eye and said "Don't worry. You guys worked hard to get us this far. Leave the rest to me. I got this." And strolled out into the middle of the gym floor for sudden death.

Then he walked up to big industry and put the ball in their hand so they could tag him out. Big industry ended up losing a couple game points to the upstart public team, but ended up remaining the f**king champion after Obama betrayed the American public and sold them out for bullsh*t Obamacare.

Students defy new laws and take to streets again

"Sixty-nine people were arrested Saturday during the 26th straight night of protests in downtown Montreal. About 5,000 people, many of them defiantly wearing masks, marched through the city streets."

Quebec's emergency law and Montreal's mask-ban law have done little to quell the civil unrest across the province or dampen people's desire to protest.
