Positions Available: President Description: The president oversees the administration of the organization and serves as the liaison between the student chapter and parent chapter. Responsibilities: • Oversight of all organizational activities and administration. • Approval of all organizational activities. • Organize and preside over officer meetings. • Liaison responsibilities include: o Communication with parent chapter. o Attendance of parent chapter board meetings. o Enlisting support from parent chapter. o Serve on a committee of the parent chapter. Vice President: Description: The vice president serves in conjunction with the president as the student side of the organization. Responsibilities: • Organize and preside over student chapter activities. • Communication with university advisor. • Assist president as needed. Treasurer Description: The treasurer maintains the finances of the organization. Responsibilities: • Maintain and report on organizational financial records. • Deposit funds and dues. • Submit expense reports. • Apply for funds for organizational activities. Event Coordinator Description: The EC is the central organizer of INCOSE in regards to meetings. Responsibilities: • Schedule meetings and locations • Inform students of these meetings • Work with outside organizations to create social events Social Media Chair Description: The Social Media Chair is always tweeting, instagramming, or facebooking about INCOSE’s events and turnout. Responsibilities: • Promote INCOSE events to promote higher turnouts • Taking pictures at events • Must excel at social media/marketing Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA) INCOSE Student Representative Description: The WMA Representative is the liaison between GMU and the parent chapter. Responsibilities: • Works closely with the president • Attend all WMA meetings (once a month) • Be accessible and in constant contact with WMA board when needed

Mission: Systems engineering is concerned with the overall process of defining, developing, operating, maintaining, and ultimately replacing quality systems. Where other engineering disciplines concentrate on the details of individual aspects of a system (electronics, mechanics, ergonometrics, aerodynamics, software, etc.), systems engineering is concerned with the integration of all of these aspects into a coherent and effective system. Systems engineers concentrate their efforts on the aspects of the engineering process (requirements definition, top-level functional designs, project management, life cycle cost analysis,...) that serve to organize and coordinate other engineering activities. The systems engineer is the primary interface between management, customers, suppliers, and specialty engineers in the systems development process.

Dear Students,

INCOSE GMU is holding elections to choose the 2018-2019 officers. This year we have several amazing candidates. All you have to do is click on the link below and vote!

The elections will be open on Wednesday, January 31st at 12:00pm and close on Wednesday, February 7th at 5:00pm.

Instructions:

Candidates' Information:

1. Raniah Al-Amili:
I am a junior studying Systems Engineering with concertation in Financial Engineering. I’m currently the Vice President of National Society of Collegiate Scholars honor society.

2. Kayla Corey
Is a junior majoring in Systems Engineering with a concentration in Operation Research. She currently works at GMU as an undergraduate research assistant on a project that studies inference enterprise modeling (IEM).

3. Emmanuel Kwakye-Dompreh:
I was born and raised in Akuse, a small town in the eastern region of Ghana. I moved to the United States at age 11 and lived in Alexandria ever since. I am a junior here at GMU studying systems engineering with a concentration in Aviation systems.

4. Caroline Wagner
Is a junior Systems Engineering major with a concentration in Data Analytics. She has previously worked with managing budgets for large corporations as well as finding trends in order to minimize spending.

5. Caitlin Johnson
I am a junior studying Systems Engineering with a concentration in Operations Research. I also am a Leadership Chair in my sorority, Kappa Delta.
