The Vertical Flight Technical Society is the world's only international technical society for engineers, scientists and others working on vertical flight technology. We bring together industry, academia and governments to tackle the toughest challenges in vertical flight. Since founded as the American Helicopter Society (AHS) in 1943, we have led technology, safety, advocacy and other initiatives, and have been the primary forum for interchange of information on vertical flight technology.

"Bin Laden Raid Pilot Says Unique Marine Air-To-Air Course Likely Saved Him From Pakistani F-16s," The Drive, May 3:
"When U.S. Special Operations forces raided Osama Bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, now a decade ago, years of special training and experience combined to overcome a host of potentially devastating events, including the crash of a specially equipped Black Hawk helicopter and threats from the Pakistani Air Force, to ultimately achieve the desired end result of the mission. Retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Douglas Englen flew with the elite 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and played a critical role in Operation Neptune's Spear. He credits skills he learned while taking part in an elite U.S. Marine Corps training course as being critical to the success of the mission."

Vertiflite magazine contributor Ian Frain was at RAF Lakenheath (United States Air Forces Europe 48th Fighter Wing) week to see the return of The United States Marine Corps Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 211 (VMFA-211) to the United Kingdom. VMFA-211 known as the Wake Island Avengers are based at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma in Arizona with the Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II this week, albeit to RAF Lakenheath before embarking for the second time on board HMS Queen Elizabeth for both exercise next week and cruise across to the Far East. The Wake Island Avengers took a few days to deploy fully across to here as they initially transited to Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort in South Carolina for 24 hour rest period before coming across in two separate waves in the week.

Last year in September the Wake Island Avengers deployed to RAF Marham (the UK F-35B hub) before conducting successful trials on HMS Queen Elizabeth to integrate with the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Tailored Air Group consisting of Lockheed Martin F-35B (from RAF Marham) Leonardo AW101 Merlin HM2 / HC4 (from Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose in Cornwall) and Leonardo AW159 Wildcat (Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton). Since taking over MDHI from Lynn Tilton, Carr has moved quickly to shore up customer support and return the company to relevancy in the commercial market. MDHI had been completely preoccupied with lucrative foreign military sales of its MD500 series scout/attack helicopters in recent years and had all but vanished from the commercial market."

Hello ladies and gentlemen My name is Alexander Kosman and I live in Germany. I am an creator of "Hoverbike" with a patent and would like to introduce my invention to you. Description of the invention. Hoverbike works with air inlet channels integrated in the body with bionic propellers and is driven by a engine. The special aerodynamic shape corresponds to a teardrop shape, which helps to keep the aircraft stable in the air regardless of the speed. The bionic wing system improves the stability of the aircraft and keeps it stable at different angles of attack. I tried to adapt the hoverbike for use by emergency services. It can be used in conjunction with the "elide fireball" system for fire fighting from the air. Thanks to its lower weight and mass, it is useful for use by the police and air rescue. Such as monitoring the motorway. The reason I contacted you is because I intend to sell the patent and I am looking for companies that have experience in the field and are able to bring the ideas to life.
