Description of Award
The Department of Global and Community Health is soliciting nominations for the 2018 Undergraduate Community Service Award. This award recognizes a graduating community health major who has an outstanding record of community service, including both service to the university and the wider community.
Eligibility and Application
• Community health major
• Graduated or graduating in December 2017, May or August 2018
• Demonstrated record of community service
You may nominate yourself or another student for this award. To apply please submit a resume that highlights your/the nominee’s community service experience, being sure to include the organization(s) served, specific roles held, the dates of service and the number of hours a week served. Also list any community service leadership positions you/the nominee have held or notable accomplishments in community service.
Applications must be submitted by 5 pm Tuesday, February 27, 2018 and late submissions will not be accepted. Please email your submission to Dr. Corrie Paeglow (

All eligible applications will be reviewed and the awardee selected by the faculty of the Department of Global and Community Health. The recipient will be invited to attend the College of Health and Human Services Award Ceremony in April.
