Director of the David Lynch MFA, John Kloepfer at Wilshire Ebell Theater for Conversation with the Stars of Twin Peaks, the owls were definitely not what they seemed.

They were way cooler and signed autographs…

Much love to Sheryl Lee and Dana Ashbrook…Ray Wise, Sabrina Sutherland, Carel Struyken, Kimmy Robertson, and Harry Goaz…James Marshall and Eric Da Re…to name just a few.

We are proud to help carry the Twin Peaks spirit forward through the David Lynch MFA in Screenwriting, where we keep room to dream up something as mysterious and mesmerizing as the greatest show of all time.

Neal showed his continued support for her work by attending the NYC premiere of Tiffany’s short horror film OUT OF TIME at the Moonshot film festival this month. Congratulations Tiffany and hello Neal!

One year ago today, we lost a mentor, a friend, and a legend.

Yet, he left us with a legacy of pure consciousness and boundless creativity. David Lynch lived the Art Life in such profound ways and, in doing so, fully embodied what that means. He taught us to fall in love with our ideas, that creativity doesn’t come from suffering. And that life is not a torment, but a beautiful game.

He turned hideousness into beauty, the ordinary into the sublime, and could find the light in the darkest of places. And because of him, our own light shines a little brighter.

We are humbled that he chose to share his time, wisdom, and great humor with us. His unique and genuine kindness filled the room and always made us laugh while making us feel comfortable. He was never pretentious, never with ego.

All of us here at the David Lynch MFA in Screenwriting are committed to celebrating his life and legacy, and to exemplifying in ourselves the highest of qualities that he lived. Of creativity, kindness, and love...from that ocean of pure consciousness.

We miss you, David. And we thank you for inspiring us to be more blissful in our work. More of ourselves in activity. And fearless with our ideas. We are deeply grateful, and we wish you deep peace. Wherever you are.

An encore clip from the day he passed. As we spoke with him that last time, Alexandra (class of 2025) shared that her father had recently died and asked David if he had thoughts on an afterlife. Here is the kind, generous, and loving David that we all miss...
