Athens is getting a Lagree studio, and it officially opens next week.

If you’ve never done Lagree: it looks a little like Pilates, but it is decidedly not Pilates and it’s not boring (sorry Pilates fans). You work on a Megaformer using slow, controlled movements, constant resistance, and very little rest. The goal is strength, endurance, core stability, and having your muscles shaking and hating you only 7 minutes into class.

I went to a free community class today before the official opening, and I am VERY excited to have this in Athens.

This is not a sponsored post. Nobody paid me to say this. I just genuinely think Athens needed this and wanted people to know it’s coming.

There is, however, one serious problem with the location.

The studio is next to Paris Baguette.

Which is just terrible.

Absolutely terrible planning to put a Lagree studio next to a building containing croissants.
