Cast of Falcons! Amanda Fisher and Lindsey Cuchetto, both former club officers, worked on the Murder Mystery back in the day. They both gave me great advice I will share with you next Wednesday. Amanda still lives in the area and offered to come pay you a visit. Here's what she wrote to me: "I 'stole' my script from a high school production. I work full time but I don't mind meeting up with a few from the club to see what I can help with, if you think that might be helpful? My phone number is (Prof. Dave has it), if you want them to be in direct contact, texting is cool!

We're hosting a table for Club Day today at noon on the quad. Stop by and meet Spenser and Wesley and others to find out what we have planned this year!

Here's something new to think about, friends and fans of The Eye: Coming in February, Auditions for Treasure Island!

The Falcon’s Eye announces an open call to students and community members to audition for Ken Ludwig's thrilling adaptation of Treasure Island. Based on the masterful adventure novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, Treasure Island is an unforgettable adventure of treachery and mayhem featuring a host of legendary swashbucklers. At the center of it all are Jim Hawkins, a 14-year-old boy who longs for adventure, and the infamous Long John Silver, an unscrupulous buccaneer-rogue whose greedy quest for gold, coupled with his affection for Jim, cannot help but win the heart of every soul who has ever longed for romance, treasure and adventure.

Audition Dates: February 11, 2013, 6:30 pm. Auditions are held on a first-come, first-served basis.

Audition Location: Auditions will take place in the Drama Lab (PAC-1170) of the Three Stages Performing Arts Center on the Folsom campus of Folsom Lake College, 10 College Parkway (off E. Bidwell St.), Folsom, 95630. On College Parkway, turn left at the stop sign. One dollar parking permits are available at kiosks located throughout the parking lots. See the map for more information.

Auditioners MUST prepare a monologue that is no more than 90-seconds-long from any classical play. Please no teleplays or screenplays or passages from novels or song lyrics. Also, please no original writing. This monologue should best portray the actor's strengths and can be of any genre. This monologue must be memorized.

Auditioners who are called back will also be asked to audition by way of cold readings from the text. Auditions and call-backs are expected to run until approximately 10pm each night. It is requested that Auditioners bring an 8x10 photo-headshot and resume of acting experience, if available, but this is not required.

Callbacks: February 12 and 13, 6:30pm, by invitation only.

Hello Club members and friends! Professor Don Hopkins is one of the Administration of Justice instructors here at FLC. He needs one or two actors to do a crime scenario on December 4th. It will be in classroom FL5 room 216. The class time is 9:00 am to 10:20 am. You will be improvising around a rough script as you are interviewed by students in the Crime Report Writing class. He needs actors that can invest a lot of emotion, portray a distracted mind, and generally reveal all the nuances associated with the reactions of a real crime victim. Sounds like a lot of fun and good improvisation practice! If you're interested, send Mr. Harris an email and I will hook you up. [email protected]

I personally haven't found myself to be very good at improv because I get caught up in my mind trying to figure out what to do instead of acting on impulse.
Today Paul and Betsaida of Blacktop Comedy came to teach us some fun improv games and techniques. I had a ton of fun with the games we played and will be having another improv event soon :)

Good morning! I just wanted to remind everyone that auditions for our Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre "Murder by Dessert" are this Thursday, November 1st at 4:30 PM!
We'll be doing cold readings of scenes from the play for the auditions, but if you do prepare a monologue you can present that as well.
If you are unable to audition at this time please email Bryant Tarpley at [email protected] or Lindsey Ross at [email protected] so we can work out an audition time for you

There's a theatre club meeting today from 12-12:50, we'll be announcing the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre show! Come join us at The Falcon's Roost, FR-108 (The room across from the book store)

About Romeo and Juliet AUDITONS :)

Hello Cast!
Three Stages has asked me to learn if any of you would like to participate in the opening gala for the new season at Three Stages on August 18. They are looking for actors to portray "living statues," sort of like what Alyssa did in King Stag. I don't have a lot more detail than that --- they are just asking me to see if any of you have interest. Email me directly at [email protected] if you want more information.
