Greater Service, Greater Progress is what we do. In unity the D9 collective know as NPHC Galveston gathered for community service serving the needs of Galveston County. Alpha Theta Sigma donated pampers, wipes, hygiene items and detergent on behalf of our national program, Project Cradle Care. Project Cradle Care is designed to raise awareness of disparate and inequitable maternal and infant health outcomes Black women endure through community outreach, advocacy, education, and implicit bias training. The members of the NPHC Galveston will donated the items to the Galveston County Teen Coalition. A collective evening of service and fellowship.

This past weekend we splashed into an amazing day at our Swim 1922 Water Safety Clinic! 💙💛🌊

From learning essential water safety tips to building confidence in and around the water, our attendees made waves while having fun!

A huge THANK YOU to the Lasker Community Pool and Better Parks for Galveston for welcoming us and helping make this event a success! 🎉💙

And to top it all off, May 2nd is now officially recognized as Alpha Theta Sigma Alumnae Chapter’s Swim 1922 Day in Galveston, TX! What an incredible milestone for our chapter and community.

Thank you to everyone who came out, supported, and helped us continue the mission of promoting water safety awareness for all! Until next time… keep swimming and stay safe! 🏊🏾‍♀️💛
