Phi Theta Zeta Graduate Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was chartered on October 25, 2007, by Five Phenomenally Talented Women:

Shantel Thornton Miller, Michele Smith, Shantel Thornton and Xavier Spratts. Our goal has been to get Back to Basics with the mindset of our zealous tenets leading the way to Scholarship, Service,

Sisterhood, and Ideal of Finer Womanhood. Over the past 14 years, our chapter membership has continued to grow. Our chapter members come from various backgrounds, careers, and ethnicities. Phi Theta Zeta Chapter members have attended various colleges and universities, including CSU Long Beach, Purdue University (IN), CSU Dominguez Hills, University of Phoenix, UNLV, UC Irvine, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Liberty University (PA), American University (Washington, DC) and Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (Spain). Our vast educational backgrounds enriches our chapter culture and promotes a sense of inclusiveness that strengthens our sisterly bonds. Phi Theta Zeta members are leaders, serving on the National, Regional and State levels within our sisterhood. The Gardena Zetas have supported various community organizations, school programs, and causes, including our annual and everlasting partnership with March of Dimes - March for Babies, American Heart Society, and St. Jude's, just to name a few. Phi Theta Zeta sponsors Zeta youth auxiliaries (Pearlettes, Amicettes, and Archonettes), an adult auxiliary (Amicae) and an undergraduate Zeta chapter (Upsilon Kappa at California State University, Fullerton). Our youth auxiliaries are for girls ages 4-18. The Amicae Auxiliary is for women who have not earned a college degree who support and promote the ideals of our organization. The Gardena Zetas embody our principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood. We are committed to positively impacting our communities and always remember that each time we gather for business, service or fun, it is all Zeta Love, EE-I-KEE! This month, Phi Theta Zeta proudly shines the spotlight on Soror Christina Dogan-Bonam, our Parliamentarian.
Soror Christina plays a vital role in preserving the traditions, protocols, and ceremonial excellence of our chapter. Her attention to detail, commitment to order, and steadfast dedication help ensure that our meetings and activities are conducted with dignity, purpose, and respect for our sisterhood’s values.
Beyond her official duties, Soror Christina consistently demonstrates leadership, reliability, and a spirit of service that strengthens our chapter. Her willingness to support her sorors and uphold the standards of Phi Theta Zeta reflects the very essence of what it means to lead through example.
We are grateful for the care, professionalism, and devotion she brings to her role each day. Thank you, Soror Christina, for your continued service and for helping preserve the legacy and excellence of Phi Theta Zeta.

The ladies of Phi Theta Zeta were honored to give back to our community by donating socks and adult diapers to the residents of Gardena Convalescent Center. These essential items help provide comfort, dignity, and care to those who need it most.
We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. Thank you to everyone who contributed and supported this service initiative. Your generosity reflects the true spirit of sisterhood and community engagement.
