Good morning everyone,

I know everyone is probably as excited as we are for the relaxation and fun of the upcoming weekend. We just wanted to share the minutes from the last meeting before we leave. These minutes are IMPORTANT, as Sarah Goodwin from Parkhurst Dining Services was the guest speaker.

An important clarification to make about Dining Services is that we did not fail the Health Inspection. We just didn't do as well as we'd hoped. As students it is essential that we use our voices both positively and effectively. From Sarah during the meeting, "We don’t often get constructive feedback. Saying that we hate something does not help us understand what we can do better. We were able to add egg whites upon request. We were also able to remove cheese from the burgers when people didn't want it. If a worker is rude to you, we need to know whom. If something is dry we need to know what. We have to follow policy and procedure, so we can’t do anything unless names and specifics are given."

If you do not want to reach out to Sarah yourself please utilize SGO to express your suggestions and concerns, whether it's through a message on Facebook or an email at [email protected].
