🌱 Hello, Ascension Parish! I'm Izzi, the new LSU AgCenter Horticulture Agent. I'm a Baton Rouge native, LSU Horticulture graduate, and current entomology master's student. I look forward to sharing gardening tips, answering your plant questions, and helping our community grow. In the meantime, here are some fun facts about my favorite flower!
🌻Sunflowers aren't a single flower—they're made up of hundreds of tiny flowers packed together!
🌻When they're young, they track the sun as it moves across the sky--a behavior known as heliotropism.
🌻Some sunflowers can be grilled and eaten👀😋
