Fort Hays Tech Northwest Announces 2026 Program Students of the Year

Goodland, KS — Fort Hays Tech Northwest is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of its students through the annual Student of the Year awards. Each year, academic programs across campus select one student who exemplifies excellence in skill, leadership, and dedication within their field.

These program-level honorees represent the very best of Fort Hays Tech Northwest and will now be considered for the institution’s highest student honor—FHNW Student of the Year. The overall winner will be announced during the college’s graduation ceremony.

“We are incredibly proud of these students and the work they have put into their programs,” said President Corey Isbell. “They represent the future of the workforce and the strength of technical education.”

Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach recently visited Fort Hays Tech | Northwest to deliver an Emily's Hope Naloxone (Narcan) Distribution Box to our campus.

This will be located at the Student Union!

This initiative is part of a statewide effort to help combat the devastating impact of fentanyl and opioid overdoses by making life-saving naloxone more accessible across Kansas communities.

We appreciate the Attorney General’s Office and Emily’s Hope for including our campus in this important initiative and for helping expand access to resources that can save lives.
