Michael Shoaf's Christmas Lightshow to Music

09/08/2026

Labor Day is over so I guess it’s Christmas Season 😂
It really does take a long time to set up the light show!

Another addition to the display this year are these MEGA bulbs. I have retrofitted them with a DMX controlled LED. They are super bright and super festive!!

Ps if anyone knows where I might could get more of the white ones please let me know! They sold so fast last Christmas and I only was able to get 7.

It’s getting close to that time of year again!! Get ready for those Christmas hits with the lights to make it pop!

Every year we try to add a couple of new props to the display. One of the things we are adding this year is a Merry Christmas sign. Here are some progress shots of it being built and also ideas of where it might go.

This sign alone has just under 1,500 LED nodes in it!

Thanks again for all of y’all’s support! It means so much!

Tonight is the very last night of our Christmas light show, tomorrow it all comes down! (And it looks like we’ll have great weather to wrap things up.)

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by and showed the support. Whether you put a donation in the box, turned the music up and cheered from your car (yes… we definitely hear you 😄), or just came out to enjoy the lights, you made this season extra special for us. Sharing some holiday joy is what it’s all about, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Happy New Year, and we’ll see you next Christmas! 🎄✨🎶

Thank you all for your continued support for the light show! I wanted to show everyone what my display looked like 14 years ago in Durham NC. It’s come a long way!

It’s a post heavy day for the Christmas Lights! I’d like to take a minute and thank my sister Karen Shoaf for her service. She luckily flew by the Christmas light house on her way back from the Greenville airport today. Karen fly’s Chinooks for the Army. So proud to call her my sister! Sorry for the excitement in the video. This was very exciting for our family to experience.
