UH College of Medicine Welcome to the official page for the University of Houston College of Medicine. Visit https://uh.edu/medicine/ for more information to learn more.

MISSION: UH College of Medicine is accountable to society for improving the overall health and health care of the population of Greater Houston, Texas and beyond. At the UH College of Medicine, our focus is on preventing and improving poor health — not simply treating it. Students receive the highest quality medical training to provide comprehensive health care. By teaching students to address key factors that affect their patients' health — such as food insecurity, the environment and housing — we can help eliminate health disparities in our urban and rural areas. The future of medicine is here. Come help us shape a better tomorrow. Learn Why the UH College of Medicine is For You: https://uh.edu/medicine/

India's COVID tsunami leaves bodies piling up as oxygen, medicines, vaccines and hospital beds run short

One thing COVID-19 has shown us is that we are all in this fight together.

India typically produces more than 60% of all vaccines sold globally and is home to the Serum Institute of India (SII), the world's largest vaccine maker. Besides impacting global supply, this also raises concerns about another variant and its future spread.

Our heart is with the people of India during this difficult time.
