Ratio Christi at Jacksonville State University

Ratio Christi at Jacksonville State University A Campus Apologetics Alliance
Ratio Christi seeks to encourage and strengthen the faith of Christian students at secular and liberal institutions across the country, while also sharing Christ's message and love to those that have yet to receive it, through the use of intellectual investigation and apologetics. Ratio Christi believes that Christians have failed to address the pressing questions of worldview, science, philosophy, history, etc. Consequently, the Secular Humanist worldview has overtaken the university and the minds of students. By situating apologetic clubs at universities across the nation, we hope to take part in the battle for the mind and begin to reverse the Humanist trend of thought by providing and equipping students with the answers, or means of getting the answers, to the pressing questions of life. *Ratio Christi appreciates financial support. (Visit www.ratiochristi.org/donate for details).

Bringing together faith & reason... Establishing the intellectual voice of Christ at the university.

Mission: Ratio Christi is a global movement that equips university students and faculty to give historical, philosophical, and scientific reasons for following Jesus Christ.

Big thanks to Jesse Stewart for leading us in our first Ratio Christi meeting for Fall 2018! When we think of all the evil and pain in this world, we find hope in the God who entered history and experienced that same pain. He is a God who is with us. See Hebrews 4:15.

Hey guys! Our first meeting of the semester is this Thursday, September 6th at 8 P.M. in the Houston Cole Library (room 10B). The topic that we will be discussing is the Problem of Evil as we did not get to finish of our series last semester! We look forward to seeing you all there!

The other meeting dates this semester are: October 4th, October 25th and November 15th. All at 8 P.M. and at in the library.

For those who may be wondering about the last scheduled meeting this Thursday (4/19), we will NOT be meeting. We have chosen to refrain from meeting due to the recovery effort after the March the 19th tornadoes.

We praise God for His mercy in keeping everyone in Jacksonville alive during the storms. We thank you for your prayers and ask that you continue to lift up Jacksonville to our great God. Thank you!

Happy Easter, everyone! I hope you are having a lovely day with all of your loved ones!

Remember that we as Christians hang entirely on the historical and supernatural event of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ! We not only have good reasons to believe this to be true, but we have even more reasons to rejoice!

In Paul’s words, if Jesus did not rise from the dead, Christians, of all people, are “the most to be pitied”. However, Christ HAS risen from the dead!

C.S. Lewis put it well: If this is indeed true, it is of INFINITE importance!

Happy Easter!
