I put this out to my classes - if you have some friends we can recruit or that need some electives, persuade them to enroll in a geography course! :)

If you need some electives or another lab science course, consider taking a geography or geology course in the spring - the list of courses being offered is below. Some of you are natural talents in geography and should really consider majoring - there are many jobs out there for students trained in geography - especially if you get some applied courses like GIS and Remote Sensing!!If you have any questions about courses or geography, let me know!Take care.Dr. T

Hi guys! Alabama Water Watch has been asked to participate in Ag Field Day in Hokes Bluff on November 2-3 from 8am – 2pm each day.

During the event, up to 12 groups of about 40 students will visit educational stations to learn about different aspects of agriculture. Of course, water is a big part of agriculture, and making sure agricultural practices do not pollute water is very important. With this in mind, we would like to have a 4-H AWW Station.

Would any certified monitors be interested in helping with this event? We were thinking someone could do a demonstration on how to use the water chemistry kit.

If you’re interested in helping out, please email Mona Dominguez at s[email protected]
