Football season is here!! Culhane’s Irish Pub - Southside is our normal game watch location. We will be there for all games except the Navy game, where we will go to the Culhane’s Irish Pub - Atlantic Beach location to meet up with the local Navy club! We are excited for another year of football games and thankful to Culhane’s for their support, including moving karaoke if necessary this season so we can hear our night games 🎶 🏈 ☘️

‼️SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATES‼️

We will be “sunsetting” (closing down) our Facebook GROUP to move forward only with our Facebook PAGE, hopefully eliminating any Facebook confusion.

If would be very helpful if you leave the group if you’re still in it! Otherwise, everyone will be removed individually, as this is an unfortunate part of the process to close down a Facebook group. Please do not be alarmed if you see you are banned - that is the way you are removed from the group! We still very much want you viewing our page, we promise!

We also have a new LinkedIn page, so please find us there as we increase LinkedIn activity! The link should be in the recent newsletter email, so make sure you get all our emails for the most updated information.

We had a fabulous student send-off last night!! This year is particularly meaningful as longtime club member (Jacksonville native & ND alum) and newly ordained priest Rev. Stephen Parker celebrated the Mass. Four of our five incoming first years were able to make it this year and received their “the shirt” from the club. What a great way to kick off the beginning of the school year! Thank you so much to club president Jim Minta for hosting as always! Go Irish ☘️

The send-off on August 9 consists of a Mass at Club President Jim Minta’s home beginning at 4 PM, followed by a cook-out dinner. This is always a highlight of the Club’s year, and you won’t want to miss it.

This year is particularly meaningful as longtime club member and newly ordained priest Rev. Stephen Parker will be celebrating the Mass!

We ask a donation of $5 per person (current and incoming students exempted!) and a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Mandarin Food Bank. Please RSVP by Friday, July 31 so we can give an accurate list for both food planning and letting the Deercreek security gate know. You can RSVP online through MyND or via the link in your email! Congratulations to Stephen Parker, a long-time club member and ND grad, who was ordained yesterday as one of four new priests in the Diocese of St. Augustine!

Club president Jim Minta and former club co-presidents Julie and Matt Moloney were on hand to witness the happy occasion.

Congrats again to the entire Parker family!

After a dominant run through the playoffs, the Irish are in the national championship yet again tomorrow afternoon at 1 pm! We were thinking of putting together a game watch to see if Coach Corrigan (no close relation to former club president Brian Corrigan unfortunately!) can win his 3rd national championship in 4 years. Our friends at Culhane's Irish Pub & Restaurant - Southside are happy to host, but we wanted to gauge possible attendance.
