This Tuesday, the Brothers of Delta Rho took the initiative to vote in the Primary Election.

In Alpha, voting is the standard. As Brothers, we believe it’s our responsibility to lead by example and show up for our communities—not just with our words, but with our actions. We understand the importance of using our voices and honoring those who fought for us to have that right. Delta Rho will always strive to uphold that standard and encourage others to do the same.

This Thursday, Bro. Veal, Bro. Thomas, Bro. Middleton, and Bro. Tomlin of the Delta Rho Chapter successfully hosted the Power 100 Career Fair for the second year in a row. The event brought together industry leaders and employers to equip attendees with the tools for success through discussions on financial literacy, job insecurity, and self-worth. With a room full of recruiters and hiring organizations, participants were able to network, explore career opportunities, and take meaningful steps toward their professional goals. Delta Rho is proud to continue creating opportunities that uplift our campus and community.

This Sunday, the Brothers of Delta Rho worshipped at Pleasant Green Baptist Church alongside the Brothers of Beta Lambda and Omicron Xi Lambda for College & Divine Nine Sunday.

Bro. Veal helped lead the service by opening with scripture and speaking on the importance of education and higher education in strengthening our communities. He also had the opportunity to connect with the 43rd Miss Spelman College, Jillian Collier, Dr. Jennifer Collier, Superintendent of Kansas City Public Schools, Adult Minister Jalen Vernon, judicial candidate Allison Williamson, and Judge Tony Martinez.

Today, the brothers of Delta Rho Alpha and our alumni came together at Kansas City Monarchs Stadium to invest in the next generation. We spent time connecting with young people, answering questions, sharing college resources, and offering real insight on navigating higher education. Seeing our youth leave with knowledge, confidence, and new connections made the day worthwhile.

Founded in 1920, the Kansas City Monarchs became one of the most successful franchises in Negro League history, producing legends who helped shape the future of baseball. It was only fitting to gather at a place with such a rich legacy before enjoying the Monarchs game together.

Before first pitch, we closed out the event with an Alpha tradition—a stroll.

This week, Bro. Veal and Bro. Thomas met with a group of minority high school young men for a roundtable discussion centered on mentorship and real conversation. They talked about respect, finding purpose, building healthy relationships, and the importance of mental health. The young men also had the opportunity to open up about challenges they’re facing in their personal lives, creating a space where they felt heard, supported, and encouraged.
