📚🎒 Serving Our Community, One Child at a Time! 💚💛

The ladies of Pi Eta Eta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated were honored to partner with the Killeen NAACP for their annual Backpack Drive in support of Killeen ISD students preparing for the 2026–2027 school year.

More than 100 children attended this wonderful community event, where they enjoyed bingo, shared a meal, and received backpacks filled with school supplies to help them start the new school year with confidence.

From packing backpacks to preparing hot dogs, our sisters were proud to lend helping hands and hearts in service. Seeing the smiles on the children's faces reminded us that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a lasting impact.

Together, we are investing in the future—one student at a time.

Juneteenth is more than a date in history—it’s a powerful reminder of what freedom in America has meant, and what it continues to demand of us.

Observed every year on June 19th, Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas learned they were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. It stands as a symbol of delayed justice, but also of enduring hope, resilience, and the unbreakable spirit of a people who never stopped believing in freedom.

For America, Juneteenth is both a celebration and a call to reflection. It celebrates the progress made toward liberty and equality, while also reminding us that freedom has not always been immediate or equally experienced by all. It challenges us to acknowledge the full truth of our history—both the pain and the progress—and to continue building a nation where justice and opportunity are truly shared.

Juneteenth represents: ✨ Freedom hard-won and deeply valued
✨ The strength and contributions of African American communities
✨ A commitment to keep pushing toward equity and unity

As we celebrate, we honor the past, recognize the present, and look forward to a future where the promise of America—freedom and justice for all—is fully realized.

Happy Juneteenth ❤️💙🤍

Caribbean American Heritage Month is more than a celebration—it’s a recognition of history, resilience, and the vibrant cultures that continue to shape communities across the diaspora.

For those of Caribbean descent, this month is a reminder of where we come from—the rhythms, the flavors, the languages, the stories passed down through generations. It’s the pride of knowing our roots stretch across islands rich with strength and survival, and the honor of carrying that legacy forward wherever we go.

Living in the diaspora means holding two worlds at once—honoring ancestral traditions while building new paths in a different land. It’s the fusion of cultures, the blending of identities, and the understanding that “home” can exist in many forms.

Caribbean heritage is influence. It’s innovation. It’s impact. From healthcare to education, music to leadership, Caribbean Americans have helped shape the fabric of this nation in powerful ways.

This month, we celebrate the beauty of our culture, the strength of our people, and the stories that deserve to be told—loudly and proudly.
