Happy Holidays ✨ from the PACIFIC ISLANDER & ASIAN AMERICAN STAFF ASSOCIATION! ❄️💜

…yes, you read that right!

We are excited to announce that the Pan-Asian Staff Association is now the Pacific Islander and Asian American Staff Association! We’re still the same PASA you know and love, now with a name that more accurately reflects the people we serve.

This monumental event in PASA history would not have been possible without the groundbreaking work of our founders who created the Pan-Asian Staff Association in the 1980s, when the term “AAPI” was not yet widely used. Because of their strong desire for community with like-minded UC San Diego staff, PASA has grown into the thriving group that it is today!

The decision to change our name came after a few years of discussion, and we’d like to thank the PASA board and the UC San Diego Staff Association for their support.

We hope you’ll celebrate this special gift with us. 2024 has been a great year, and we are looking forward to an even better 2025!
