Researchers at the University of La Verne are looking for families with children ages 3-6 to participate in a paid, online study looking at how animal sounds and animal pictures affect a child’s reaction time in a naming task.
We are looking for children who:
• Live in the US
• Speak English at least 80% of the time
• Have no hearing or visual impairments

Se buscan niños que:

The ULV Language and Cognition Lab is currently recruiting participants for a paid, online study on Amazon’s Mechanical Turk.

Who: Adults 18 years or older, residing within the U.S., whose native (first) language is tonal (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese). English must be your second (or later) language, and you must be able to speak, write, and understand spoken English.

What: You will be asked to listen to English-like nonsense sentences and determine whether they are statements or questions.

When/Where: Online, at your convenience, on Amazon’s Mechanical Turk (mturk.com; search for “ULV Cog Lab").

Why: Help advance our understanding of language and communication in non-native English-speaking adults whose native language is tonal.
