HOPE members take part in the Helping Babies Breathe initiative. HBB is part of the American Academy of Pediatric's global educational programs known as Helping Babies Survive. These programs are aimed at neonatal resuscitation and maternal support during labor in underserved international communities. Dr. Lloyd Jensen leads half-day sessions with students performing survival maneuvers on simulated neonates.

April 9, 2018- HOPE members assembling personal care kits for the Lutheran World Relief and their Project Promise Initiative. Personal care kits aid those who are displaced by natural disaster and violence. Each kits contained bars of soap, a nail clipper, a medium-sized towel, toothbrushes, and a comb. Thanks to the generous donations of the UNLV faculty, students, and community, 100 (!!) care kits were assembled.
