Shenandoah University - Scholar Plaza: Loudoun Scholar Plaza - Loudoun is home to the ASD nursing program; respiratory care program; PT program; OT program; PA program; master's, doctoral and certificate education programs as well as the career switchers program.


We are having the weekly yoga class as scheduled.

Yoga emphasizes breath and movement through a series of poses that unite in a smooth, modern flow. This class focuses on modifications and alignment while safely building strength and flexibility. It’s perfect for anyone looking to let go of stress and physical tension. Proper athletic attire is required. Limited Yoga Mats are available. Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat and water. All classes are FREE to Shenandoah University students, faculty and staff.


For Thursday, March 22: All university campuses open @ 11 a.m. Child care opens at 9 a.m.


Due to impending snow and ice, all campuses and child care are closed today, Tuesday, March 20.

SEHD Faculty Member Receives VACTE Award - Associate Professor and Chair of Curriculum & Instruction Karrin Lukacs, Ph.D., has received the Inspirational Educator Award for significant contributions to the education and preparation of future teachers, from the Virginia Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (VACTE). She was unable to receive the award in person on March 9, during the VACTE spring conference, because she was traveling with students in Finland to learn more about K-12 education in that nation. “Being recognized truly is priceless,” Dr. Lukacs said.

Who is excited for the first food truck, Saffron Indian Cuisine, of the semester and 2018? They will be ready to serve lunch at 12.

There is no weekly fitness class this week. The class will resume on March 15 at 5:30pm.

Good Morning! We hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far. A few mid-week reminders: we have the weekly yoga class tomorrow at 5:30pm in room 134 and Spring Break starts on Saturday! Donations are still being accepted for the Nicaragua OTC Medication Drive and Gowns for His Glory!

Today is the last day to drop off your unused stuffed animals for the Shenandoah University's Eleanor Wade Custer School of Nursing #TeddyBearClinic.

The newest collection is the #OTCMedicationDrive for the School of Pharmacy's and School of Health Profession's #GELNicaraguaTrip. The Drive is now until March 1.

Gowns for His Glory is currently taking donations of gently used prom dresses, shoes, purses, jewelry and other prom-related accessories until April 5.

Monday, January 15, is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day across the nation and the start of the spring semester at Shenandoah. Every year, Shenandoah University has hosted a day of service to commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr. and his achievements. This year, the university will host a week of community-centered events that highlight the ideas of diversity, reflection and service. Students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to participate in the university's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Week celebration, which runs from Monday, January 15 to Friday, January 19!

Shenandoah University and Inova Health System's partnership to educate the next generation of health-care professionals was featured by Virginia Business! Adrienne Bloss, Shenandoah’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, said the partnership will produce skilled practitioner-leaders “who are experienced in the interprofessional, team-based care model and play an important role in health-care delivery in the region immediately upon their graduation.”

Shenandoah University's School of Business hosted its first Healthcare Leadership in 21st Century Conference on Thursday! "One of the issues that had to be faced is diversity inclusion. As a society, we have to change more willing to address issues around. How do you treat patients that are different from you in multiple dimensions?" said Davis. The event speakers discussed a variety of viewpoints on leadership in healthcare systems with the focus that healthcare and diversity are intertwined.
