We, as representatives of health care facilities, higher education and local governments, speak with one voice, in support of Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam’s stay-at-home order, and plead with all residents of the Northern Shenandoah Valley to stay home. By not leaving the region at all, and by not ...

The past week has been like nothing we’ve ever seen or expected. Classes went online, we learned about the importance of social distancing, and we accepted a never-before-seen disruption in our lives. But you — our students, faculty and staff — have done a truly extraordinary job of perseverin...

We are taking additional precautions to combat COVID-19 as Virginia declares state of emergency. Through March 30, residence halls will largely close, events are canceled or postponed, athletic practices and competitions are suspended, employees are encouraged to work remotely, and classes will be conducted online.

Dear Students, Parents, Faculty, and Staff, I’ve seen dozens of announcements over the past two days, by other schools and businesses, that start with “Out of an abundance of caution….” But at Shenandoah, it is so much more than that. And so it’s with an ABUNDANCE OF CARE that I am writing...

After February 29, 2020, the next leap day will not happen again until 2024! A fun way to track our changes over the next four years is to create a leap year time capsule! A time capsule is a collection of items that are stored away as a method of communication to the people of the future. In this case, the people of the future will be you in four years! Gather your favorite things for your capsule. We’ll take care of the rest - capsules are available in The Hive.

Congratulations to ASD nursing student Taylor Scott ‘19 for winning a prize in the ASD student story drawing. Before entering the Accelerated Second Degree BSN track at Shenandoah University - Scholar Plaza: Loudoun, Taylor was a real estate agent and property manager. When asked about her experience in the ASD program she said “I’ve never had such a close knit relationship within a program before. Our professors genuinely care about each of us and want us to succeed. They’re always available and willing to help, which is something I wasn’t always used to in a bigger school during my first undergraduate degree.” “..I feel like this program fully prepared me to not only graduate and pass the NCLEX, but to be a successful new nurse...”
