Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 16, 1920, on the campus of Howard University located in Washington, D.C. was founded on the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood by five visionaries, affectionately known as our “five pearls”. ved that sorority elitism and socializing overshadowed the real mission for progressive organizations. For these reasons our beloved sorority was formed. Beta Alpha Beta Zeta (BABZ) Chapter was chartered on October 28, 2025, by 14 like minded women seeking to make a difference in the St. Mary's County, Maryland community. The chapter motto "bridging gaps and fostering partnerships to build a better St. Mary's County, Maryland community" emphasizes our work in collaborating with community organizations to increase outreach and maximize resources. Today, we’re reminded of the power of transformation and renewal that Resurrection Sunday brings. It not only reminds us that in our darkest moments, there is light, but it is also a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the boundless love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In Him, we find solace, strength, and assurance - let us be filled with gratitude for the incredible gift of salvation and redemption.

Just as the resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolizes new beginnings and endless possibilities, we too are inspired to continue our commitment to the Power of S.H.E., as we continue to serve and advocate for our women, children and families globally.
