Delta Sigma Phi at the University of Kentucky

Delta Sigma Phi at the University of Kentucky Our Fraternity helps and encourages our members to become better students, better leaders, better citizens, better professionals and better men.

Delta Sigma Phi was formed at a time when Jewish and Christian fraternities barred entrance to members based on their religious affiliation. Founded on December 10, 1899, Delta Sigma Phi sought to challenge this convention and establish an organization predicated on the universal brotherhood of men regardless of personal beliefs. During this time, the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation was also incorporat

ed aimed at developing young men with leadership initiatives and educational programs. Since then Delta Sigma Phi has rapidly expanded to over 100 chapters nationwide with over 100,000 initiated brothers. For more than a century, Delta Sigma Phi has helped young men become better leaders and better citizens. Brotherhood is a lifetime commitment to living our core values: Culture, Harmony, and Friendship. Our intention is not merely to develop a strong fraternity, but in addition, to challenge our members to make a difference in their communities and their world. It is this legacy and commitment that has led to the organization's success over these many years.
