We are a group of students; faculty and staff; alumni; and interested Nebraskans (both currently residing in the Good Life as well as spread across Husker Nation) who are opposed to Governor Dave Heineman being selected as the next president of the University of Nebraska. We consist of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents so this isn't a partisan issue. Whether you approve or not of his tenure
as governor, there is no doubt that he lacks the academic chops to lead Nebraska's university system into the future. With nearly a decade under his belt of regular opposition to NU funding and outright hostility to the notion of academic freedom, he is not the right choice for president of the University of Nebraska.
