Thank you to our A Day of Hope Presenting Sponsors: Carol & Witt Stephens, The Rebsamen Fund, and Tiger Correctional Services.

Your investment helps Arkansas single parents stay in school, earn degrees and credentials, and build careers that create greater stability for their families.

That investment also strengthens Arkansas. When single parents have the opportunity to reach their goals, employers gain skilled workers, families gain greater economic stability, and communities benefit from their success.

We’re grateful to these three Arkansas leaders for recognizing that supporting single parents is an investment in the future of our state.

Thank you for making A Day of Hope possible.

A few years ago, Bailey was the student who needed someone to believe in her. Today, she’s the one helping other students believe in themselves at ASU-Mountain Home.

Come celebrate 2026 Distinguished Alumna Bailey Hucheson at A Day of Hope on Sept. 18 in Little Rock.

Tickets are $75 now, but the price increases to $100 on Sept. 11. Proceeds support the single parent scholarship program.

“You just have to keep going.”
That’s the message Asia wants other single parents to hear.

Asia knows how hard it can be to balance college, work, motherhood, and bills. She also knows what can happen when you have the support to keep moving forward.

An ASPSF scholarship helped Asia finish her degree at University of Arkansas at Little Rock . Today, she’s building her career, dreaming about law school, and showing her son what’s possible.

We’re so proud of Asia and all she’s accomplished. ❤️

And thank you, UA Little Rock writer Samantha Koros, for sharing Asia's story and for being such a strong partner to single parent students.

Read Asia’s story:

University of Arkansas at Little Rock alumna Asia Amos knows what it means to overcome obstacles. As a single parent and transfer student, she changed her major, paid for school out of pocket, and balanced college with work and motherhood — all while determined to prove to herself and her son that...

Connecting with future students is one of the best parts of what we do.

ASPSF Program Manager Sandra Warren recently represented ASPSF at the Texarkana College Career Fair, where more than 60 organizations connected with students and job seekers about educational and career opportunities. One of the highlights of the day was reconnecting with Sandra's former student, Elizabeth, who has earned her bachelor's degree, is nearly finished with her master's degree and now teaches at Texarkana College!

We're always excited to share how scholarships and support services can help Arkansas single parents achieve their educational goals.

Going back to school as a single parent takes courage, persistence, and a willingness to ask for help.

Malory, Yyel and Ty'Asia know that firsthand. In this month's Premiere Magazine, these three ASPSF students share what they've learned while balancing college, work, and family.

Their advice is simple: Believe in yourself. Let your family motivate you. And don't be afraid to ask for help.

Thank you to NEA Premiere Magazine for sharing their stories and highlighting the determination of single parents across Northeast Arkansas.

Know a single parent who is thinking about going back to school? Share this reel with them.

Fall scholarship applications are open through Sept. 1 at aspsf.org/scholarships.
