Salutations, and a happy new year!

School is back in session, and the Honors Connection is motivated to run stronger than ever.

As you might know, the next Celebrity Forum is coming right up, and this month’s speaker is David Axelrod. Mr. Axelrod served as senior strategist to President Barack Obama's presidential campaign. This is actually a rare appearance from him in a speakers’ series, so take advantage of the opportunity now!

He will be speaking Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (Jan. 25th, 26th and 27th), but if you have a ticket or will be picking up your ticket (which is free for honors students, remember) from Teresa to see David Axelrod on Friday, January 27th, we invite you to join the Honors Connection at a pre-event meet up! You will be able to meet us—the newly elected, official board members of Honors Connection—and we will get to meet you!

Remember: You do NOT have to have previously signed up at our initial kick-off event or attended Honors Connection events in the past to join us. All honors students are welcome! This is more than a student organization—this is an academic support group and a family away from home.

We will be meeting at Coffee Society (right across the street from De Anza College) at 6:30pm. The address is: 21265 Stevens Creek Blvd, Suite 202
Cupertino, CA 95014

After meeting up, getting some coffee, mingling, and relaxing, we will walk over as a group to the speaker’s event (which starts at 8pm) in the Flint Center at De Anza College.

We hope to see a bunch of you there!
