What to do if your parents won’t fill out the FAFSA 🚨‼️

First, don’t panic. It’s more common than you’d think for parents to refuse to fill out the FAFSA.

Many parents assume that the FAFSA is a confusing, high-risk trap that exposes their private data and legally binds them to paying for college...

Reality: It takes under 10 minutes, their data is legally protected, and it is the ONLY way to unlock the federal, state, and school aid for their child that wants to go to college.

If your parent(s) still refuse to fill out the FAFSA after discussing it with them, be sure to reach out to your school’s financial aid office to learn what your options are.

And if you want the big campus, dorms, football games, etc., you can always transfer and have those experiences later.
