You have something freshmen applicants don’t have: you’ve already proven yourself in college.

When universities review transfer applications, they can see your actual college grades, the rigor of your classes, and how you’ve performed in a college environment, not just predict how you’ll do.

Nobody warns you about this before you start community college: the classes you take first depend on where you’re trying to transfer 😅

If you build your schedule before you know where you want to transfer, you risk taking GE that doesn’t count, missing a prereq, or wasting units you can’t get back. Save this and do it in this order instead!

One of the biggest mistakes we see? Students apply to top universities without ever running the numbers for their own financial situation.

Then acceptance letters come out… and reality hits.

Your financial aid package can completely change what’s actually affordable. Without estimating your aid ahead of time, you might:

✨ Count yourself out of schools you could actually afford.
